Dogs - dangerous objects, chemicals and places

Dogs are curious by nature and can get themselves into all kinds of trouble around the house. Here are some common risks to be aware of:

Antifreeze (ethylene glycol)
is fatal for dogs even in small quantities. Dogs are often attracted to the smell and taste of antifreeze -be very careful when storing antifreeze.

If you suspect your dog has ingested antifreeze take your dog to the veterinarian immediately.

Batteries
can cause burns, alkaline poisoning and digestive blockage.

Garages
are generally dangerous places for dogs, as they are often contain a variety of toxic substances, some of which can be fatal for dogs.

Garages also lack air circulation when closed and subtle fumes from stored chemicals can cause nausea for your dog. Make sure your dog isn't left unattended in a garage.
